GUERILLA FEATURES MOVEMENT MANIFESTO
The Revolution Is Scripted Cinema, once a weapon of truth, has become a hostage of noise. It is bloated with excess, strangled by formula, seduced by spectacle. It has forgotten the voice of the writer, the intimacy of a scene, the rawness of human presence.
We are Guerilla Features, a film movement born not of industry, but of urgency. We reject the idea that art must wait for permission. We reject the notion that budget equals brilliance. We reject the false God of technical perfection, and bow only to one force:The story.
-
Our films are not built in boardrooms or polished in post.
-
They are carved from necessity, driven by dialogue, fuelled by character, and made under pressure.
-
We believe that narrative, not novelty, is cinema’s beating heart.
-
We are here to reclaim it.

Guerilla Features exists for writers and filmmakers who are ready to stop asking. Who are ready to strip film back to its core: a script, a space, and voices that matter. This is not austerity. This is purity. This is cinema under fire, and the camera doesn’t blink.
THE GUERILLA CODE: A Guerilla Feature follows a strict set of constraints, but this is not to limit the imagination, it's to set it free. Within these boundaries, the true filmmaker is revealed. The rules are as follows:
-
The film must be feature-length. We do not trade depth for convenience.
-
It must include no more than four actors. Intimacy breeds tension.
-
It must be set in a single location. A room is a stage. A house, a battlefield.
-
It must be shot in 10 days or fewer. Time reveals truth. Speed exposes instinct.
-
The budget must not exceed £5,000. Art should be paid in courage, not currency.
-
The choice of equipment is irrelevant. Shoot on a phone, a DSLR, or whatever is available. The lens is not the story.
-
There shall be no visual effects. The audience’s imagination is your greatest collaborator.
-
The writer’s voice is central. The story begins and ends with the script. All departments serve the narrative.
-
Every line of dialogue must earn its place. There is no space for vanity or filler. If it does not move the story, it dies.
We believe that these constraints can carve out diamonds under pressure.
THE AESTHETIC OF TRUTH: Our films are not pretty. They are not perfect. They are alive. We embrace the wobble, the grain, the echo in the room. We choose flaws that feel human over polish that feels dead. The world we show is the world we live in: unfinished, imperfect, unfiltered. We reject artifice. We reject spectacle for its own sake . We reject the myth that more money makes more meaning.
THE INVITATION: Guerilla Features is not a collective. It is not a brand. It is not for sale. It is an idea. If you are tired of compromise, you belong here. If you are a screenwriter with something burning inside you, this is your arena. If you are a filmmaker willing to shoot with what you have, where you are, right now, you are already one of us. You don’t need a pitch deck. You don’t need approval. You need courage, clarity, and a story that matters.
We do not ask for permission. We make the film. Let the world catch up. This is the return to story. The return to tension. The return to truth.
This is Guerilla Features and the revolution is scripted.
